00:00 Today we're going to look at Claude Design. Claude Design was released by Anthropic in April 2026 and it is currently still in beta testing.

00:09 However, let me tell you that this has blown me and my friends away. As someone who does a lot of content development for work, yet doesn't have a design background, this has really helped me produce some amazing PDFs and PowerPoints that are on brand and that look very visually beautiful.

00:31 What sets it apart is this system, design system that it has, that it approaches every single prompt with. The design system includes things like brand logos, brand books, colors,

00:43 Everything related to your brand that you would need your digital graphic designer to is built in through this design system as part of your system prompt.

00:52 So, today we're going to talk about who Cloud Design is for, what you can create with Cloud Design, and how to set this system design and actually create beautiful products for your business.

01:04 So Cloud Design is useful for a few different groups. First, it's useful for designers who want more room to explore.

01:12 Instead of creating one or two directions manually, they can prototype more options quickly.

01:17 Secondly, Cloud is for product managers or UX teams who need to sketch product flows, markups, dashboards, or interactive prototypes before handing work to design or engineering.

01:29 Thirdly, Cloud Design is for people like me. Marketers, founders, account managers, or educators who need polished visual assets but may not have a design background.

01:40 Cloud Design may be worth exploring for anyone who needs to communicate an idea visually. So what exactly can you create with Cloud Design?

01:49 Well, Anthropic Designs describes Cloud Design as a tool for creating polished visual work through conversation. You can use it to create product wireframes or website mock-ups for realistic interactive prototypes.

02:05 You can use it to create pitch decks or presentations. Any educational material, one-pagers, landing pages, marketing collateral. Cloud Design can really do anything that a graphic designer can do.

02:19 Simply start with a prompt, upload any relevant files, bring in documents. You can even point Cloud to a code base and it can actually interact with Cloud Code.

02:29 Uhm, or you can use it to capture web designs to pull in visual elements. Then you just refine through conversation.

02:39 You can make specific comments or general feedback. So

02:43 So with all that context, let's get into it. Say you're coming to Claude Design for the very first time. The first thing that I would point you toward is the design system.

02:53 And so to create a design system for your business, for your brand, you'll start by clicking on design. Systems, and then you'll click this create design system.

03:03 Now here you have two options and the option that you choose depends on how technical you are and the technical assets that you can provide.

03:13 So this create using Claude code is good. If you already have a code base that you can direct Claude to and typically in code bases, you define the colors that you're using.

03:24 You define any assets that the website uses. And so this is why Claude code can pull directly from a code base if you have one.

03:33 However, if you don't have one, you'll press this create here. And this is where you manually input your company name, a little bit about your company, and you can manually input if you have a GitHub repository.

03:46 If you have a zip file of code, if you have a Figma file, you can upload this, but then if you don't have any of these, you can also just input any fonts, any brand books, any logos, any images or assets.

04:02 that your business uses, that's where you would upload them here. And then you can upload anything about your company, tone and style here, but brand books are great for this because they usually define what that tone, what the language that your company uses.

04:18 And so. You just what I did is I simply uploaded our brand book and then I want you to see what Claude did with that little information.

04:28 So in our Learn Air design system, like I said, I didn't give it much context other than our brand book and then a little description about our mission and our voice.

04:39 And so you can see here that just with answering those questions, Claude Code put this together. It put together this description based on what its observations were from that design process.

04:51 And so that's built into the system already, bi-anthropic, and so that's why it's able to look at the brand book that I uploaded and the very few comments that I uploaded through this design lens and put together this description from a design perspective of what our brand looks like.

05:18 And it's actually really interesting to read. It's interesting to interpretation of our brand style. Claude Design has asked me some additional questions.

05:30 You can see I answered those questions just in a normal question format. It uploaded this in its own format as well.

05:37 And then with all of this information, it actually created our design system. And you can see in here, it has our logo.

05:47 And this allows it to reproduce our logo perfectly every single time. It has our brand voice. It has our brand colors.

05:55 And all of this was pulled directly from our brand book. Additionally, it created a slide template for us. So anytime I ask it for a pitch deck, it will always refer to this template.

06:10 And I could have uploaded our own set of company slides in here if I had a template that I wanted to always reproduce.

06:19 So this gives us some context into this template and into our design system. And anything that you don't like, you can always come in here and describe the changes that you want it to make.

06:33 This is very much designed for that natural language interaction. So, after I'm happy with my system design, after I have it created, I want to show you how I can actually design company assets.

06:47 So, as you saw, one of the templates that I have created is this pitch deck. So, I'm going to upload and select this template.

06:57 I already have my design system set to this LearnAIR design. And I'm going to say, I want you to create a pitch deck for, I don't know, let's just say, for LearnAIR AI Literacy Training for a Frozen Yogurt Company.

07:29 And then it's going to do its magic. And, I mean, this is incredible because it allows you to create branded content that's aligned with a template that you've already uploaded very quickly for specific personalized context.

07:45 And so, as we mentioned, because Claude Design has this graphic design persona built in, it's going to come back to me, the human, with the information that it needs to know.

07:56 And so, it can discern the information that it needs for the context in which it's building. So, it says, okay, you didn't give me enough information about the building.

08:05 So, let's Frozen Yogurt AI literacy pitch. First of all, what is the Frozen Yogurt company called? Uhm, let's do Yogurtlandia.

08:17 And the size, location, uhm, small, local, business, with three locations, brand, vibe, equals, utopia, happy, colorful.

08:37 I just made that up. Okay, then it says who's in the room for this pitch. So we have the owner, and let's do the store managers.

08:46 What is the core promise? We're selling, of course, at LearnAIR. We always promise. Save time for more human time. Upskill the whole team.

08:58 And let's say better customer experience. so you can see sometimes AI has in the, and in the past, maybe you've observed that AI can has a tendency to hallucinate information.

09:06 And so I love that it's asking this, any real numbers to include. Pricing, program length, team size, ROI figures. And it asks this so that it can ground every piece of information that it includes in your slides in true.

09:19 This is our source of truth. So I'll say refer to stats on learnair.com for your source of truth. And here it goes.

09:41 And you see how it presented those questions to me in a very nice way. And then it puts it into the conversation in the format that the AI responds to best.

09:52 And so you can see that for the facts, I pointed it to LearnAir.com as the source of truth, and then it says that it actually fetched this page, it was reading it.

10:02 And then you can see its planning process. it's just finished up here. And I really am always blown away every time I use this tool.

10:12 You can see its planning process, uhm, where it knowledgeable. Not only just creates the outline, but it also goes and it verifies and it looks for any mistakes.

10:22 You can see its reasoning. It said, we're going to create a playful Froyo energy where we'll use sky and raspberry sprinkle dots.

10:30 I think that's what these are representing, but I asked it for a playful style and creative, and that's exactly what it mixed our LearnAIR brand and colors with.

10:41 But you can see it maintained the font. It it maintained the gradient from our original template. And so, just looking through this, prepared for Yogurtlandia, three locations, one happy crew, all of this information is accurate.

10:58 In terms of the style, sales pitch, I love this line. Your team is busy scooping, not studying tech. The gap isn't effort, it's knowing where AI actually helps a small, local business like yours.

11:11 I love how curated and personal, yet true to our LearnAIR brand that this is. And I just think this is really good.

11:21 you see that I got this information from our LearnAIR website. I I didn't tell it that we're an authorized service partner by OpenAI or a trusted training partner by Anthropic.

11:31 It went and read that and it came back with this information. I I love how it curated this to the yogurt audience, which is with the little fun bubbles and the colors of LearnAIR, the name of Yogurtlandia.

11:57 So you can see, it stayed true to our LearnAIR brand with our logos, our coloring, our font, and our template logo.

12:04 So it out, but it did do an amazing job at personalizing this pitch deck to the specific audience in just a matter of minutes.

12:13 And to me, this is the power of AI, that you can create deeply personalized information quickly, so that you can spend a lot more time doing the human things that matter, doing now, let's say there a few little tweaks that you need to make.

12:26 Well, in the past, in other AI systems, it wasn't possible because the AI would just generate a layer as the design.

12:35 However, in this Claude Design, you have the ability to send your design to Canva. Or send it to a cloud code, and that's where you can make more of the precise human manual changes.

12:49 However, there is also a lot of editing that you can do directly within Cloud. And the first is AI-driven edits.

12:57 And to do this, let's say, I don't like this. I don't like how it says, close out the day. I want something more Well, I can come and select this markup and then select this particular area.

13:10 And I could say, make this more tangible. And then send this to Claude. And it will go and only edit this specific section that I've marked up.

13:23 So, this is actually one of the things that I think sets Claude apart, is just the ability to make these more very precise, AI-driven edits.

13:41 But then on top of that, you have all of this control over the editing in terms of the colors, in terms of the sections and the layout.

14:10 Here we see the HTML broken up for me. We can hover over it. It makes it really easy to use.

14:18 We can manipulate the sizing and even more editing than I actually need. So I think this is the first time in AI design where we actually have very precise control.

14:34 In collaboration with the AI. In the past, it's always been one or the other, and one would get sacrificed. So this is an amazing tool.

14:40 I'm sure I haven't even explored the entirety of it, but I encourage you if you do anything design-related to start here and just explore.

14:50 And I'm looking forward to seeing what you can build in Claude Design.
